D. James Dee opened The Soho Photographer Inc. in 1974 to provide photography of fine art at affordable rates and the highest quality. He has built enduring and expanding relationships with artists based on his professional expertise and commitment to client satisfaction.

The SoHo Photographer is the largest studio in New York City exclusively dedicated to photographing artwork. We can accommodate any flat art up to approximately 12' x 20' and sculptures of any size (as long as it can fit through our rather narrow 31” x 94” doorway!)

Appointments can be made for us to photograph artwork such as sculpture, jewelry, ceramics and books. Since these pieces can be represented many different ways you may want to be present during the photo session. It is recommended that you call at least one week before the desired appointment and 48 hours in advance for cancellations.
